Waiver

Pregnancy Waiver:

Physical activity during pregnancy has many health benefits and is generally not risky for you and your baby. But for some conditions, physical activity is not recommended.

Pre-Activity Pregnancy Questions & Considerations:

I understand that if I answer yes to any of the below listed questions, I must speak to my healthcare professional (e.g. GP or midwife) before I begin or continue to be physically active.

In this pregnancy, do I have:

  • Mild, moderate or severe respiratory or cardiovascular diseases (e.g., chronic bronchitis)?
  • Epilepsy that is not stable?
  • Type 1 diabetes that is not stable or your blood sugar is outside of target ranges?
  • Thyroid disease that is not stable or your thyroid function is outside of target ranges?
  • An eating disorder(s) or malnutrition?
  • Twins (28 weeks pregnant or later)? Or are you expecting triplets or higher multiple births? 
  • Low red blood cell number (anemia) with high levels of fatigue and/or light-headedness?
  • High blood pressure (preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, or chronic hypertension that is not stable)? 
  • A baby that is growing slowly (intrauterine growth restriction)?
  • Unexplained bleeding, ruptured membranes or labour before 37 weeks? 
  • A placenta that is partially or completely covering the cervix (placenta previa)?
  • Weak cervical tissue (incompetent cervix)? 
  •  A stitch or tape to reinforce your cervix (cerclage)?

In previous pregnancies, have I had:

  • Recurrent miscarriages (loss of baby before 20 weeks gestation two or more times)? 
  • Early delivery (before 37 weeks gestation)? 

Any other medical condition or health concern or reason.

Immediate Cessation of Exercise During Pregnancy:

I agree to cease exercise and contact my healthcare provider immediately if I experience any of the below. I accept that failure to do so is my full responsibility.

  •  Bleeding from the vagina
  • Feeling dizzy or faint
  • Shortness of breath before starting exercise
  • Chest pain
  • Headache
  • Muscle weakness
  • Calf pain or swelling
  • Regular, painful contractions of the uterus
  • Fluid leaking from the vagina

General Pregnancy Waiver:

I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform the instructor/coach of any pregnancy specific complaints listed below or contraindications listed above.

I agree to inform my instructor/coach if I am suffering from any of the following, so that they can adjust the class for me where needed:

  • PGP
  • Pubis Symphysis
  • Sciatica
  • Heartburn
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Breech Baby (esp. after 34 weeks)

I confirm that my healthcare provider has given clearance for exercise during pregnancy.

Postnatal Specific Waiver

 I confirm that my healthcare provider has given clearance for postpartum return to exercise.

I agree that I will inform my coach if I feel any heaviness, dragging, or pain in my pelvic floor and/or any urgency to use the bathroom whilst training.

I also confirm that I my baby/infant is my own responsibility during  training sessions.

General Waiver - Applicable to All:

Users of this website/clients/members are requested to accept responsibility for their personal, medical and physical condition in order to take part in any Bumps & Babies Trainings activities, including but not limited to:

  • Online Personal Training,
  • Online Small Group Training,
  • Online Classes,
  • On-Demand Content
  • Nutrition Coaching/Advice

Any assessment undertaken by the Bumps & Babies Training Staff/Contractors is for general information only with a view to giving advice and should not be relied on by users/clients/members as certifying their fitness nor should it replace any information from your healthcare provider.

A GP’s clearance may be required if you have any existing medical problems. Use of the Bumps & Babies Training  services may be restricted for medical reasons.

By purchasing any of the products on this website and/or signing up to any courses and/or partaking in any online classes, I acknowledge that I have volunteered to participate (whether I do or not in fact participate) in programs of progressive physical exercise. The possibility of certain unusual changes during exercise does exist; for example, disorders of heart beat and very rare instances of heart attack or death. To my knowledge I do not have any limiting physical condition or disability, which would preclude an exercise program.

I acknowledge the specific waiver for my stage in the 

I have been and/or am hereby informed of the need to undergo a physician’s examination prior to my application for engaging with Bumps & Babies Training services. I have recently undergone such an examination or refuse to do so. In declining to undergo an examination, I acknowledge that I accept complete responsibility for my health and well-being in all and any voluntary exercise fitness programs, related testing and/or nutrition and behavioural habits.

I hereby acknowledge and agree that I will enjoy the services provided by Bumps & Babies Training entirely at my own risk and that I will not endeavour to hold liable Sinéad Brophy, Bumps & Babies Training, its staff, agents, employees, contractors or representatives for any injury, loss, damage or expense incurred by me or on my behalf or suffered by me or on my behalf arising out of the use or enjoyment of any of the Bumps & Babies Training services, howsoever arising.

Terms and Conditions

Attendees are requested to accept responsibility for their own personal, medical, and physical condition, along with that of their child(ren) in order to partake in any Bumps & Babies classes, products or services.

 

When joining classes, purchasing products or availing of free resources you will be asked to accept these T&Cs before you do so. 

By ticking this box means when signing up/purchasing your product you agree that:

  • - You have volunteered to take part in classes that may involve exercise, ecstatic dance, yoga or other movement.
  • - Agree to inform my class instructor/coach prior to the class commencing of any health issues, injuries, or if you are breech or have any of the contraindications listed above so that I can be advised on alternatives and be guided where appropriate.
  • - Understand that physical exercise (yoga, workouts, mobility involves strenuous movement and changes in breathing and it is your responsibility to not exceed your limit by selecting the appropriate level of activity for me. 
    - Accept sole responsibility for my partaking in this class, product, service or 1:1 session.
    - You acknowledge and agree that you will enjoy the services provided by Sinéad Brophy of Bumps & Babies Training entirely at you wn risk and that I will not endeavour to hold liable Sinéad Brophy, Bumps & Babies, its staff, agents, employees, contractors, or representatives for any injury, loss, damage or expense incurred by me or on my behalf or suffered by me or on my behalf arising out of the use or enjoyment of any of the B&B services, howsoever arising.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

***In-Person Group Events, Circles, Cacao Ceremonies & Day Retreats***
Cancellation Policy of 48 hours notice applies. If you cancel after 48 hours before the event start date your ticket price will not be refunded/transferred.

*** In-Person Weekend/Week Retreats***
Cancellation policy of 1 weeks notice to the start date of our retreats.

If you cancel before 1 week, you will receive a refund of the cost of the bed/room minus your deposit. If you can cancel within the 1 week cancellation policy, then you will receive no refund. We require a minimum of 4 bookings for our retreat to go ahead. If we decide to cancel the retreat, we will give you more than 1 weeks notice and we will refund you in full (deposit included).

***Online Public Classes, Workshops, Events, Cacao Ceremonies, Women's Circles***
24 hours cancellation notice must be given and cancellation outside of this window will not be refunded/transferred. Recordings will be sent to all ticket-holders.

***Online Personal Training, Women's Wellbeing Coaching Calls, Holistic Habit Plans, 1:1 Cycle Check-Ins***
For private sessions, at least 12 hours must be given if you want to reschedule your 1:1 session and 24 hours notice will be needed to cancel a session.

***In-Person Personal Training***

This policy will be guided by the studio/gym it is booked under - typically this is 24hours notice.

 

Please note that flexibility and accommodation will be given as best possible but your session must be re-booked/re-scheduled within a month of the original booking. If you have signed up for a subscription, please refer to that specific subscription/package for further details but 1 month's notice must be given before cancelling a subscription/packages.

 

***Extenuating Circumstances***
In case of emergencies, deaths in the families etc this will be taken on a case by case basis. As in person events require space rental fees and cacao/resource preparation in advance (and some are joint circles between facilitators) it will not be possible to refund you in full.
